BOHRIUM
The element bohrium is denoted by the symbol Bh. Atomic number 107 is an artificial element with atomic weight 264, estimated to be solid at 25 °C, silver or gray in color. It is named after Danish nuclear physicist Niels Bohr. Originally the element was called ‘nielsbohrium’ for a long time. The name was later shortened by IUPAC. Bohrium is a synthetic element about which little is known. It was discovered in 1981 by Peter Armbruster, Gottfried Münzenberg and colleagues from the GSI Helmholtz Heavy Ion Research Center. It is an extremely radioactive metal that does not exist in nature. Only a few atoms could be obtained by bombarding bismuth-209 isotopes with chromium-54 isotopes. Currently, it is produced only for research purposes.
In the periodic table, it exists as a D-Block transition element. 7. 7 as a member of the period and the fifth member of the 6D series transition metals. it belongs to the group elements. Chemical experiments on the Element, bohrium 7. it has been confirmed to behave more heavily homologous with rhenium in the group. The chemical properties of bohrium are only partially characterized, but the chemistry of other Group 7 Elements is thought to be consistent. Because it is a very unstable element, any amount formed decomposes into other elements so quickly that there is no reason even to investigate its effects on human health or on the environment.
