Fluorine
Fluorine is denoted by the symbol F and has an atomic number of 9 and a weight of 19. The scent of fluorine, the first element of the halogen group, resembles ozone and has brownish and yellow colors. In 1539, Georigius Agricola completed the calcium fluoride compound. It was first isolated by Henr Moissan in 1866.
Fluorine, the most reactive element; It reacts with all elements except argon, neon and helium. The reason for being too reactive is due to the low dissociation energy. It has (-1) oxidation number, that is, it can make a single bond. If there is more than 1 ppm fluorine in drinking water, yellow plaques form on the teeth. Also found in fluoride toothpastes and deodorants. It is the least polarizable element among halogens. It is found in many chemicals and is not in the periodic order.
