PROTACTINUM
The element protactinium is denoted by the symbol "Pa". It is in the group of aktanids of the
7th period of the periodic table. Its atomic number is 91 and its atomic weight is known as 231.03588. The melting point was measured at 1845 K (1572 ° C or 2862 ° F); however, the boiling point is not known. It was described by Kasimir Fajans and Oswald Helmut Göhring in 1913. It is solid at room temperature. It has a bright and gray-silvery color. The name of the element protactinium comes from protos and actinium, which means "first" in Greek.
It is one of the rarest and most expensive elements that do not occur in a laboratory setting. Due to its difficulty in finding, high radioactivity and toxicity, it is not used except for scientific studies.
In addition to not having any known biological role, it causes cancer if taken into the body.
