Livermorium is the super-heavy artificial chemical element number 116 in the periodic table, indicated by the symbol Lv. Its symbol is Lv (formerly Uuh). It is called eka-polonium by some researchers. The element temporarily used in the form of ununhexium was permanently named livermorium by IUPAC on 30 May 2012. It was named livermorium after the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California.
It is an extremely radioactive metal. It is an artificial element that cannot be found in nature. By colliding curium atoms with calcium atoms, only a few atoms could be obtained. There are 4 known isotopes. The half-life of its most stable isotope is 53 milliseconds. Today it is produced for research purposes only
