Nobelyum (ENG) - Gikal

NOBELIUM

The element nobelium is shown as no. It is a synthetic element with atomic number 102 and atomic weight 253. It is named after Alfred Nobel, the founder of the Nobel Prize, and is known as a radioactive metal. Only a few of its atoms have been synthesized so far, and its Half-Life is only 58 minutes. It is the tenth transuranic element and the penultimate member of the actinide series. Like all elements with an atomic number above 100, nobelium can only be produced by bombarding lighter elements with charged particles in particle accelerators. It was diagnosed in 1958 in California. It was obtained from the bombardment of Curium-246 with a carbon 12 core. The name nobelium was given by the “Nobel Institute of Physics”in Sweden, where the first experiment on this substance was conducted in 1957. Nobelium metal has not yet been synthesized in bulk quantities, so the vast majority of analyses and determinations are considered assumptions. A nobelium atom has 102 electrons, three of which can function as valence electrons.

The chemistry of Nobelium has not yet been fully characterized, and it is known that it can only take +3 or +2 oxidation states in aqueous solution. + 2 oxidation state is more stable. Nobelium has no application or use area. It is only addressed for research processes. Nobelium does not occur naturally, it has not yet been detected in the Earth's crust. It is so unstable that any amount formed decomposes very quickly to other elements. So there is no reason for now to think about health hazards.
